Why should you not eat late at night?

I am at a home where you can say we are all night owls
I used to eat dinners at 10 pm
But I am here to say why you shouldn't.
I listen to my hunger cues. I eat when I am hungry, stop when I am full
So, one day, I got so hungry at 7 pm. So I finished my dinner at 7 pm, which is super early for me
I noticed that the next day when I woke up, I felt light and not groggy(in retrospect, I used to feel sluggish getting up in the morning)

Before, I would sleep for more than 8 hours and still feel tired
But now, when I eat early dinner, I feel light, I feel energetic in the morning
BUT...
Let's face it, we live in a world where we work yaar. We come home at 8 pm and have to cook also?
In India, we eat cooked meals also. We don't meal plan. And dinner is the only time we get to spend time with family.
So how can we eat early dinner in such a situation
There is a saying
"Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper."
But in my house, that's the opposite
The meals get as "weighty" as the day goes by
So our dinner is the heaviest.

I am guessing it's the same for most households because of our busy work life.
It is a privilege to eat early dinner, actually.
So that means we can't take care of our health?
I would make small chances here because to make it a lifestyle, all it requires is one step at a time.
I would suggest keeping the dinner light

Keeping the dinner light? How?
basically, eat which is easily digested by the body at night
Things to avoid at night

1. Eating fruits at night- It's best to eat in the morning because it won't be digested properly
2. Avoid raw uncooked meals(salads, sprouts)- cooked food gets digested faster than uncooked plus, it is hard to digest such foods at night
3. Prefer pulses over beans- you might notice you get gassy when you eat channa or beans at night.
4. Eating curd- as much as curd is a probiotic, eating at night causes more harm than good. It doesn't get digested properly and may cause sinus or cold

What to do if you have to eat late at night?
1. Eat fennel seeds/cumin seeds/ginger- it improves digestion
2. Slow walk for like 30 mins after dinner to help digest food
If still hungry at night, you can drink milk.
It helps to produce melatonin which is a sleep hormone.

I have tried to test it, and it is the best thing I have ever done. I wouldn't say it out loud to others if I didn't try it myself.
Why am I focusing on eating dinner early?
If the food is not digested fully, it stays in the body as toxins.
Around 90% of diseases arise from our gut.
That's why I feel it is crucial to eat food that gets digested right because food is more than calories. It is fuel for our body. It should work for us and make our life happier and more energetic to do things we want to do
I write these blogs for my younger self because she used to follow some random crap on the internet and followed very unhealthy ways.
I just want to educate her and all others.
Health should complement your life.
A healthy lifestyle should feel natural and easy. You don't have to starve to look a particular way to be healthy.
