Balancing the hormones
Would you believe that your hormones control your body?
Your mood is affected by hormones
Your hunger levels are affected by hormones
Your skin and hair are affected by hormones
Your weight is affected by hormones.
So we understand that our hormones pretty much affect our entire body.
We have an imbalance in hormones for many reasons: environment, sleep, toxins in products you use, food, etc.
Since all the toxins are available at the doorstep, now we have more health problems than ever. We have a hormonal imbalance, irregular periods, mood swings, etc.
So, do we know what the problem is? We need to fight back, right?
Step1:
Replace
Replace every unhealthy stuff with healthy stuff. Replace every toxic shampoo with natural ones, throw away refined oils( I meant not throw away. I have been taught not to waste anything. Replace refined oil with cold-pressed oils.)
Wash fruits and vegetables with baking soda to remove pesticides and other chemicals.
Don't eat machine-made food.
Eat foods that are available in nature.
I saw a quote, "If it doesn't have a mother and is not grown on the ground, don't eat it."
It sums up what I wanted to say.
When was the last time you saw cold drinks stick up on the branches of a tree?
Imagine sitting in a Hindi class (you know Hindi?). Ok
Imagine sitting in a German class, and everyone around you speaks german to you, and you don't understand it. You explain to them that you don't understand their language. Yet they force that language on you. How would you feel?
That's exactly how our body feels.
Our body can properly digest and assimilate the nutrients when it consumes fruits and vegetables grown in nature. (remember biodiversity? we coexist!)
If you force Cheetos, chips, ice cream on it, it will struggle at first. Then it rebels and starts working against you. Imagine years of torturing your body and ending up with a disease and say, "What a surprise. I never have any bad habits, so how come I got this?"
Even if you buy "organic" food, check the ingredients.
For example, sugar has different names: Fructose, Sucrose, Syrup.
For example, diet coke has artificial sweeteners(which is even worse). It makes you crave sweets even more. Plus, it is a machine-made sugar. It doesn't come under "If it doesn't have a mother and is not grown on the ground, don't eat it."
Eat locally grown foods that are in season. It will be the ripest and fresh during that season. So the body will absorb the nutrients to the fullest.
How to know if it is seasonal?
Compare the prices. If it's cheaper, then it is seasonal.
Step 2:
Exercise
Exercise ah? Mridula, I don't have the motivation like you to exercise. I don't even get out of bed. How will I exercise?
I get it. Who said you need to subscribe to the gym to work out. The best motivation to exercise is when I am with my friends. You can even play sports.
Playing sports has a lot of benefits:
You don't have to be alone
You get to learn teamwork and discipline.
It is enjoyable.
It can be anything you enjoy, even walking is exercise.
There is something called N.E.A.T: non-exercise activity thermogenesis.
It is the things you do other than exercise.
Exercise (if you did ) would be for 1 hr. But this N.E.A.T you do for the rest 90% of the time like using your hands while talking, shaking legs, climbing the stairs, etc. It burns up more calories than your regular exercise. So if you cant do exercise, do N.E.A.T.
Step 3:
Stress-reducing
Mridula, you have already made a blog about stress. How many times am I going to read the same?
Ok, I am going to keep it short this time.
Stress(negative stress) affects your hormones because it disrupts your entire body's functions.
So the next time you feel stressed, spend time with nature, put on an energetic song and dance like nobody's watching, do yoga, do breathing exercises, sleep for some time if you can.
I heard somewhere that coloring reduces stress. I haven't tried it. Idk if it works, but it sure seems like fun.
Bottom line: Do whatever that helps you get calm
Step 4:
Relax
That's it for now. Now go enjoy feeling good inside out!
Give you happy vibes from here!
