What you should eat for breakfast?

Breakfast is the time we hurry to get to work. Either we eat leftovers from last night or ready-made food like cornflakes or skip breakfast.

Eating the wrong foods in the morning can affect your energy and your entire day. So eating light but nutritious food is crucial.

Banana and milk

Even though these foods are healthy individually, combining these two can be heavy on the stomach. Thus, not getting digested properly. Not only milk and banana, don't combine milk with any fruits except for milk and mango.

Fried food

Eating fried food first thing in the morning (poori, vada, and similar foods) can be ignored because it will make you dull and sleepy.

Cereal

Eating cereal is like eating plain sugar. It is a preferred breakfast for students and busy people. I understand it is quick and cheap, especially if you live abroad.

But these cereals are plain sugar, and they will disturb your gut microbe.

Tea or coffee

Many people drink tea or coffee first thing in the morning to help them wake up. Plus, it is like a habit or kind of addiction to drink tea or coffee every day. Drinking tea or coffee upsets the stomach and causes stomach pain, diarrhea, etc.

Frozen food

By frozen food, I mean leftover food from yesterday. Foods (after it's cooked) start getting stale. By storing in the fridge, it delays the process of staling. Eating those foods causes constipation, bloating, etc. Cold foods take a lot of time to digest. So there is likely a chance that you might end up dozing off in the afternoon. And since the food has become stale, eating that is eating food with no nutrients.

Overeat

There is a limit to how much you eat. You must have heard people saying more food, more energy. But the thing is eating is like filling up with petrol, you can only fill up to the capacity of the petrol tank. The rest of the petrol becomes a waste. Overeating causes the stomach to bloat and makes you dull and lethargic. You have to fill 1/3 rd space with food rest 2/3 should be air and digestive juices.

Now for the good habits, you should develop in the morning:

Drink water first thing in the morning :

First thing when you wake up, drink a glass of water. That's because while sleeping, your body must be dehydrated. The time during your sleep is when your body accumulates toxins. When you drink water and pass out, you push away the toxins.

Eat with crossed-legged

Eat by sitting cross-legged. That pose is when your stomach is most relaxed. It helps send blood to the stomach.

Fruits

When you break the fast(I meant you have not eaten for more than 9 hrs, right?). Break it by eating fruits that are easy on the stomach. Any seasonal food will do good. But don't eat frozen fruits or fruit juices.

Breakfast options

Some breakfast options are poha, oats, Rava upma, ragi malt, channa chat, idli, dosa, eggs(but I wouldn't recommend it). These foods are not only delicious but also nutritious and filling.

Always switch up the millets and flours and eat different breakfasts on diff days to get max nutrients.

Eating raw sprouts is the best breakfast option. Don't cook or boil it.

But, eating raw sprouts like YUCK. I get it. Add lots of spices (chat masala, pepper, lemon, salt, and cumin) to make it mouth-watering. Play around with spices, adding diff veggies(raw) to suit your taste.
